DKE Engineering

It is located within the borders of Diyarbakır province in the Eastern Anatolia Region. The project area is within the borders of the Babakaya tunnel, Kulp Stream and Berdan Dam Lake in the north, Batman Dam in the east, and Silvan district residential areas in the south. The project area generally consists of hillside lands, with a general slope from north to south, but the site is mostly on a complex sloping topography.

The rock types on the route of the 13,500 m long Alternative Silvan Tunnel, which is planned to replace the Silvan Tunnel, which is under construction to convey irrigation water from the Silvan Dam to the Silvan Plain and whose drilling at 4668 m was suspended due to a gas explosion and minor injuries to a few employees. and its geotechnical effects on tunnel construction. Babakaya Tunnel (5,440 m), which is within the scope of the project, will be built according to the current project.

It has been learned that Turkish Petroleum (TP) is located in the Taşpınar oil field, 4 oil drillings were opened in this field between 2009 and 2012, and natural gas was found in the carbonate rocks of the Alt Sinan Formation located under the Gercüş Formation. Accordingly, it was estimated that the gas came from the fractures and fissures of the Gercüş–Antak Formation. The project area is in the "Edge Fold Zone" and is in the 1st Degree Earthquake Zone on the "Turkey Earthquake Zones Map". In the region, under the influence of the N-S oriented compressional regime, many structural elements, especially the Hazro Anticline, with NW-SE oriented axes, have emerged, and intense folding and deformations have occurred.

DKE Within the scope of this large project, the total tunnel length is 13200m; Responsible for the design of the Tunnel with 10m inner diameter. Additionally, Hydraulic Calculations inlet and outlet structures are also within the scope of DKE.
