Cairo International Airport is the most crowded airport in Egypt. The terminal 2 structure within the 37 km2 area of the airport, located 15km east of the city of Cairo, was renovated to double its capacity to 7.5 million passengers/year.

With an area of 170,000 m2, the project includes the renovation of the existing terminal 2 building and new buildings such as the new departure terminal and the airside pier building. In this way, the terminal will have larger and more modern sales areas. At the same time, Airbus A380 type aircraft will be able to dock at the new airport.

In this project, DKE is responsible for the structural design of Terminal C, the airside pier building, the bridge structure between blocks A and B, and the BHS floor underneath.
